This series traces forms that once aspired to lift, fly, and reach but collapsed under their own weight.
I’m drawn to materials that already carry signs of use, discarded clothes, painting remnants, and industrial materials. When I stiffen and stitch these sculptural structures I approach the work as a painter. These works were born from contemplating departure, the suspended instant after movement fades, flight ends, or a body disappears.
